Local backup & restore
Take a portable copy of the Finance Place data in this browser.
The export contains locally stored plan/tool data. Account session tokens, sync metadata and generated professional handoff drafts are excluded. You can later restore a recognised Finance Place export into this browser; restoring requires confirmation and replaces only Finance Place planning records.
Local means this browser profile
Opening the site in another browser, a private window or another device does not automatically bring this local copy with you. Use optional sync if you want cross-device continuity.
User-owned access rules
Synced plan snapshots are protected by account ownership rules in the database. The public website does not use a privileged service key to read another user’s plan.
Cloud reconciliation stays explicit
A local restore preserves your signed-in session but clears stale sync metadata. The next sync can then ask which version to keep rather than silently treating an old cloud state as current.
